193. Coach Rafael "Jing" ROCO
2 was born on 3 November 1921 in Cagbunga, Pamplona, Camarines Sur. In 1957/8 he was the Coach of the NCAA Champion Ateneo Basketball Team in Loyola Heights, Quezon. Tito Jing, as Rafael was known, was a famous basketball player and coach during his time. He also coached the 1957-58 champion Ateneo basketball team, composed of Ed Ocampo, Jalandoni, Bobby Littaua, and others. He died on 4 February 1985 at the age of 63 in Philippine Heart Center, Quezon City. Died of a massive stroke (3rd). Jing was educated in Mapua Institute of Technology. Finished with a Bachelor's Degree on Civil Engineering. Coach Rafael "Jing" ROCO and Thelma ARANDA were married on 7 May 1949 in Sta. Mesa Catholic Church. Marriage solemnized by Rev.
