FOURTH GENERATION185. Manuel ROCO was born on Nov 30 1934 in Naga City. He is also known as Nonoy. He was a general surgeon in Centralia, Wa.. He graduated from Ateneo (Pre-Med) and from the University of Sto. Thomas in 1961. He then took 1 year of internship in the Philippines before taking another year of internship in the US (St. Barnabas Medical Center, Newark, NJ). He took his residency in Surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Tx., rotated with M.D. Anderson Hospital, also at Houston, Tx. Then he took his perceptorship in Kentucky and West Virginia for 3 years, another year in Wisconsin, and finally settled in Seattle, Wa., in 1971. In 1993, he was the president of the Society of Filipino Surgeons in America. He has joined medical missions in the Philippines for the past 8 years. He has just retired in January 15, 1998, and now works twice a week at 2 hospitals.
He was married to Nellie MARCELO on May 2 1960 in Manila.
Nellie MARCELO
was born on Sep 15 1936 in Naga City. Nellie graduated
from the University of the Philippines (Q.C.). She managed the Roco property
and golf driving range in Centralia, Wa. She died of cancer. Manuel ROCO and
